About OMHE

The OMHE (Online Media Higher Education) event is organised by three Dutch Universities: Leiden University, Delft University of Technology and Erasmus University Rotterdam. OMHE is targeted at marketing- and communication professionals, professionals at communication and student affairs and every employee in the higher education field that uses online (social) media in their evert day job for the university they work for.
OMHE started in 2013 when Erasmus University organised a mini congress on social media. Around 100 people from Dutch universities visited the congress. In 2014, Fedde van der Spoel (Erasmus), Rob Speekenbrink (TU Delft), Christa van der Kruk (Erasmus) en Annegien Lucas (Leiden University) decided to continue the tradition at one of the other LDE (Leiden-Delft-Erasmus) universities: TU Delft. The third edition of OMHE will take place in Leiden.

OMHO 2015: International aspects of Online Media in Higher Education.

Dutch universities are getting more and more international. We attract students from all over the world and are in constant online contact with them. How can we reach these students, what are specific issues when it comes to interaction with students with a different cultural background?

At the mini congress Online Media in Higher Education we address these issues, exchange experiences and learn from each other.
